四季彩舎では、瀬戸優の個展「drawing relief」を開催いたします。
瀬戸優の彫刻作品は、触覚や軌跡がダイレクトに表面に現れ、躍動感にあふれています。
本展では、「drawing relief」シリーズに焦点を当て、テラコッタを用いたレリーフ作品を中心に展示します。
「drawing relief」シリーズは彫刻作品と同じ技法で質感の伝わる平面作品として誕生しました。
このシリーズでは、薄く伸ばした粘土の上にヘラを使ってスケッチするという独特の技法を用いています。
スケッチした輪郭を切り抜き、陶板にして漆喰の土台に貼り付けているため、ドローイングに近い視覚的な効果が生まれ、平面的な表現を実現しています。

Yu Seto
Yu Seto (b. 1994, Odawara, Kanagawa, Japan) graduated from the Department of Sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts and completed his MFA in Sculpture at the same university. Drawing on his interest in natural science, he creates sculptures of wild animals, primarily using terracotta. By leaving traces of his touch and the sculpting process visible on their surfaces, Seto explores the structures and movements of living beings and the essence of their existence. In addition to exhibiting in Japan and internationally, his practice extends across disciplines, including collaborations in fashion and design.
