四季彩舎では毎年恒例となりました斉藤望の個展を開催しま す。
斉藤の作品は、金箔の上にテンペラ・アクリルを用いて写実的な 植物を描いています。
木製パネルの上に石膏を塗り、金箔を全面にあしらい、ともするとキツイ 印象になりそうですが、角のとれた丸みが、全体をやわらかなイメージへ と誘い、金箔の上に緻密に描かれた植物が独特の存在感を感じさせます。

Nozomi Saito
Born in Hokkaido in 1957.
Graduated from the Special Fine Arts Program, Faculty of Education, Iwate University. Member of the Shutaika Art Association.
Using tempera and acrylic paint over gold leaf, the artist renders plants with striking realism, infusing them with a vivid sense of life. Within the radiance of gold leaf, these botanical forms appear newly animated.
The gesso and gold leaf applied to wooden panels may initially give a strong impression. However, through the artist’s meticulous technique, the depicted plants bring a sense of softness to the entire composition, their rounded forms gently enveloping the pictorial space.
