このたびSHABAでは、四季彩舎が提案する展覧会シリーズ「Art ENCOUNTERS」vol.8として、現代美術家・井上樹里の個展を開催いたします。さらに同時開催として、OMIYA ART WALLにおいても井上の作品を展示いたします。

井上樹里は、「ケアの時代に生きる」というテーマを根幹に制作を続けてきました。東日本大震災やコロナ禍を経て、人と人とが物理的に離れていても心を寄せ合える時間の尊さに注目し、心象風景を描いています。空を中心とした風景や旅先で得た体験をもとに、心の内に広がる景色をキャンバスに投影してきました。

近年は、旅先で出会った食べ物や身近なモチーフを鮮やかに描き出すガラス絵シリーズにも取り組み、暮らしの中に潜む小さな記憶や温もりを掬い上げています。素材としては、パネルに直下地を施し、アルキド樹脂絵の具を主体にアクリルや油絵具、顔料、金箔を組み合わせるなど、艶やかさとマットさを往還させる表現を追求。ガラス絵では通常の裏描きに加え、表面に直接描き込む独自の手法も駆使し、透明感と奥行きが交錯する絵画体験を生み出しています。

また、アートユニット「妄想公園」では、ARを活用した体験型アートや教育現場との協働も行い、アナログとデジタルを交錯させながらユニバーサルデザインの視点を取り入れ、誰もが芸術に触れられる場を生み出しています。

井上にとって制作は、単に風景やイメージを描くことにとどまらず、鑑賞者の心に「寄り添う場」を生み出す営みです。空の彼方や食卓の記憶を媒介に、誰かと繋がり、共に生きる感覚を分かち合う。今展においても、その静謐でありながら鮮烈な世界が、SHABAとOMIYA ART WALLの両会場で展開されます。

This autumn, SHABA is pleased to present a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Julie Inoue as part of SHIKISAISHA’s ongoing series Art ENCOUNTERS vol.8. Simultaneously, her works will also be on view at OMIYA ART WALL.

Julie Inoue has been developing her practice around the theme of “Living in the Age of Care.” In the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic, she has focused on the preciousness of time in which people can connect and empathize with one another, even when physically apart. Centering on skies and landscapes inspired by her travels, she paints inner visions that reflect both memory and place.

In recent years, Inoue has expanded her practice with a series of reverse paintings on glass, vividly depicting foods and familiar motifs discovered during her journeys. Through these works, she captures subtle memories and the warmth embedded in everyday life. Her paintings are created using mixed media techniques: on panels primed directly, she layers alkyd resin paints with acrylics, oils, pigments, and gold leaf, shifting between matte and luminous surfaces to generate both tranquility and vibrancy. In her glass paintings, she combines the conventional reverse-painting method with her own unique technique of drawing directly onto the surface, producing an interplay of transparency and depth.

As the founder of the art unit “MOSO Park (Moso Koen),” Inoue also develops projects that merge analog and digital expression. Through AR-based interactive art and collaborations with educational institutions, she incorporates perspectives of universal design to create spaces where anyone can encounter and expand their imagination through art.

For Inoue, art-making is not merely the depiction of a landscape or an image, but the creation of a place where viewers can feel accompanied and connected. Whether through the vastness of the sky or the memory of a shared meal, her works become a medium for experiencing the sensation of living together. In this exhibition, her serene yet striking world unfolds across both SHABA and OMIYA ART WALL.

東京都出身。

2008年、多摩美術大学大学院美術研究科博士前期課程絵画専攻油画領域修了。

東日本大震災やコロナ禍を経て「ケアの時代に生きる」を創作の核とし、人と人が離れていても心を寄せ合える時間の尊さを見つめながら、空を中心とした風景や旅先の体験をもとに心象風景を描いている。近年は旅先で出会った食べものや身近なモチーフを鮮やかに描くガラス絵シリーズを展開し、日常に潜む小さな記憶や温もりを掬い上げる。

素材はパネルに直下地を施し、アルキド樹脂絵の具を主体にアクリル、油絵具、顔料、金箔を重ねるミクスドメディア。艶とマットの質感を往還させることで、静謐でありながら鮮烈な印象を生む。ガラス絵では一般的な裏描きに加え、表面に直接描き込む独自の手法を併用し、透明感と奥行きのある絵画体験を追求している。

その制作は評価を受け、2007年主体展新人、2013年損保ジャパン美術財団奨励賞、2018年損保ジャパン日本興亜美術財団奨励賞を受賞。

作品はウィーンの TAIYO Legal に常設されている。

現在、主体美術協会会員、ヴェロン會同人、大田区美術家協会会員、日本ガラス絵協会会員、アートユニット「妄想公園」代表。

Born in Tokyo.

In 2008, she completed the Master’s Program in Painting (Oil Painting) at the Graduate School of Art, Tama Art University.

Inoue’s artistic practice has been shaped by the experiences of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic, through which she has embraced “Living in the Age of Care” as the core theme of her work. Focusing on the value of moments in which people can connect and empathize even when physically apart, she paints inner landscapes inspired by the sky and her travels. In recent years, she has also developed a series of reverse paintings on glass that vividly depict foods and familiar motifs encountered during her journeys, capturing intimate memories and warmth found in everyday life.

Her works employ mixed media techniques on panel: layers of alkyd resin paints combined with acrylics, oils, pigments, and gold leaf, producing a unique interplay between matte and luminous textures. In her glass paintings, she goes beyond the conventional method of reverse painting by incorporating her own approach of painting directly on the surface, creating a pictorial experience that oscillates between transparency and depth.

Her achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the Shutai Exhibition Newcomer’s Prize (2007), the Sompo Japan Foundation Prize (2013), and the Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Art Foundation Prize (2018). Her work is included in the permanent collection of TAIYO Legal, Vienna.

She is currently a member of the Shutai Art Association, Veron-kai, the Ota City Artists Association, the Japan Glass Painting Association, and serves as the representative of the art unit “MOSO Park.”
