2025年8月9日（土）より9月30日（火）まで、OMIYA ART WALLにて「SUMMER SHOW」を開催いたします。

ART WALLでは、現在蕎麦SHABAでも個展を開催中のAKI山の新作を展示。

SHOW CASEでは、金属を叩いて造形する鍛金（たんきん）技法で作品を制作する佐瀬梓をご紹介します。

AKI山

AKI山1981年埼玉県生まれ。2011年に環境ビジネスで起業すると同時に創作活動を開始。2021年よりアーティストとして本格的に活動を始め、現在では国内外で絵画作品を中心に発表している。現在、蕎麦SHABA（大宮）にて個展を開催中。AKI山の作品は、偶然生まれた「ヒビ」をきっかけに、そこから新たな可能性や希望を見出す独自の表現へと発展した。画面上に走るヒビは、新しい「日々」を切り拓くための入り口であり、アクリルから覗く色彩は幻想的に輝き、自然の要素が響き合う瞬間を映し出す。そのダイナミックな筆致と鮮烈な色彩は、時間や空間を超えて交差するエネルギーの瞬間を捉え、鑑賞者の感覚に直接訴えかける。

佐瀬梓

1994年千葉県生まれ。2017年に東京藝術大学美術学部工芸科鍛金専攻を卒業、2019年に同大学大学院美術研究科工芸専攻鍛金領域を修了。東京を拠点に制作を行い、近年の主な個展に「佐瀬梓展」（ギャラリーHIROUMI、東京、2024）、「ここち」（galerieH、東京、2019）がある。受賞歴として2019年荒川区長賞（修了制作）、2017年安宅賞（卒業制作）など。

佐瀬は、金属を叩いて造形する「鍛金」技法と焼付けを組み合わせ、暮らしに優しく寄り添う作品を手掛ける。代表作《Ichirin》は、一輪の花のように日常に彩りを添える存在を目指したシリーズであり、《もっけのこ》は「まだ何ものでもない、ただ無垢なもののけの子」というテーマから生まれた作品。畏ろしさや穏やかさ、親しみを併せ持つその存在は、触れるものによって姿を変えながらも、穏やかな日々をそっと見守る。

From Saturday, August 9 to Tuesday, September 30, 2025, OMIYA ART WALL will present “SUMMER SHOW.”

On the ART WALL, we will showcase new works by AKIYAMA, who is also currently holding a solo exhibition at Soba SHABA.

In the SHOW CASE, we will introduce Azusa Sase, an artist who creates works using the traditional metal-hammering technique tankin.

Artists

AKIY

Born in Saitama in 1981. In 2011, he founded an environmental business while simultaneously beginning his creative practice. Since 2021, he has been working full-time as an artist, exhibiting primarily paintings both in Japan and abroad. He is currently holding a solo exhibition at Soba SHABA (Omiya).

Akiyama’s works originated from the chance appearance of “cracks,” which became a motif for discovering new possibilities and hope. These cracks running across the canvas act as gateways to opening up new “days,” with the colors peeking through the acrylic layers shimmering fantastically. They evoke moments where natural elements harmonize, reflecting the beauty of their mutual influence. With dynamic brushwork and vivid colors, his paintings capture moments of intersecting energy that transcend time and space, directly engaging the viewer’s senses.

Azusa Sase

Born in Chiba in 1994. Graduated from the Department of Crafts, Metal Hammering course (Tankin), Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2017, and completed the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Metal Hammering course in 2019. She is based in Tokyo. Recent solo exhibitions include Azusa Sase Exhibition (Gallery HIROUMI, Tokyo, 2024) and Kokochi (galerieH, Tokyo, 2019). Awards include the Arakawa City Mayor Award (Master’s Graduation Work, 2019) and the Ataka Prize (Bachelor’s Graduation Work, 2017).

Sase combines the tankin metal-hammering technique with baking finishes to create works that gently complement daily life. Her signature series Ichirin aims to be a single flower that adds a subtle color to everyday life. Another representative work, Mokkenoko, was created around the theme of “a yokai child that is still nothing at all—pure and innocent.” This being may transform into something fearsome, gentle, or familiar depending on what it encounters, but is made with the wish that it remains a quiet companion to peaceful days.
