OMIYA ART WALLのシンボルとして設置された彫刻作品《水月—シロサイ—》が、作家・瀬戸優による新たなインスタレーションとして生まれ変わりました。

本展はそのお披露目を記念し、代表作である《水月—シロサイ—》を中心に、立体・平面合わせて約14点の作品を展示いたします。瀬戸の作品は、野生動物をモチーフに、テラコッタ（素焼き）の素材が持つあたたかさと、手の軌跡が生々しく残る力強い造形が特徴です。

かつてアフリカに生息していたキタシロサイをモデルにした《水月—シロサイ—》は、絶滅という現実と向き合いながらも、静かにたたずむその姿を通して、私たち人間社会のあり方を問いかけます。

会期中は同フロアの蕎麦屋「SHABA」とも連動し、限定アイテムの販売も実施。大宮に誕生した新たなアートの発信拠点で、瀬戸優が紡ぐ生命のかたちと向き合うひとときを、ぜひお楽しみください。

The iconic sculpture “Reflection of the Moon — White Rhinoceros”, installed as a symbol of OMIYA ART WALL, has been reborn as a new installation designed by the artist Yu Seto himself.

To commemorate this unveiling, the exhibition features approximately 14 works, including both sculptures and paintings, with the centerpiece being “Reflection of the Moon — White Rhinoceros”. Seto’s work is characterized by its powerful forms that capture the warmth of terracotta and the dynamic traces of his hands, with wild animals serving as his primary motif.

“Reflection of the Moon — White Rhinoceros” is modeled after the northern white rhinoceros, a species that once inhabited Africa but has since gone extinct. The sculpture, quietly standing in contemplation, evokes the harsh reality of extinction while posing a profound question about the state of our human society.

During the exhibition, visitors can also enjoy a special collaboration with the soba restaurant “SHABA” located on the same floor, where limited-edition items will be available. We invite you to experience this powerful reflection on life and nature at OMIYA ART WALL, a new cultural hub in Omiya.
