山村は卓越した技術を武器に群生する植物をどこまでも細かく、徹底して精緻に描いてい きました。 それにダンゴムシをはじめとする蟲が登場するようになります。
近年の作品では植物が消え蟲が浸食していき色彩が省かれ、ひとつの塊となり、画面に強烈な存在感を放ちながら描かれています。
今展では地元熊本の山、根子岳をモチーフにした作品等を紹介します。この機会に是非ご覧ください。

山村龍太郎毅望
1976年熊本県生まれ。
東京藝術大学大学院修士課程修了。
墨のみを用い、植物や昆虫を極めて精緻に描き出す。
花や葉、虫たちが絡み合いひとつの塊として立ち上がる画面は、
静謐でありながら圧倒的な存在感と密度を持つ。
墨の濃淡による繊細な陰影は、
自然の構造に潜む時間や気配を浮かび上がらせる。
Ryutarotakemochi Yamamura
Born in Kumamoto in 1976.
Completed his MFA at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Working exclusively with ink,
he creates highly detailed depictions of plants and insects.
His compositions—where flowers, leaves, and insects intertwine into dense formations—
possess both stillness and overwhelming presence.
Through delicate gradations of ink,
his works reveal hidden layers of time and presence within natural structures.
