「世の中、この程度の早さでいい。」そんな願望から平澤の作品にはたびたび自転車が登場します。前回の人形シリーズの個展から続く今展では自転車をモチーフにした作品、中でも80年代の作品を中心に紹介します。

平澤重信
1948年長崎県生まれ。1978年より自由美術協会会員。1990年代以降、個展を中心に発表を続ける。
分散したモティーフによる独自の構図を通じて、記憶や風景の再構築を試みる画家である。油彩、墨、ガラス絵など多様な媒体を横断しながら、絵画空間そのものの構造と運動性を探求している。
Born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1948. A member of the Jiyu Bijutsu Association since 1978. Since the 1990s, the artist has presented works primarily through solo exhibitions. Through distinctive compositions based on dispersed motifs, the artist explores the reconstruction of memory and landscape. Working across a range of media—including oil painting, ink, and reverse glass painting—the practice investigates the structure and dynamism of pictorial space itself.
