2025年6月14日（土）より、彫刻家・瀬戸優による個展「乾いた夜」を、銀座蔦屋書店スターバックス前スペースにて開催いたします。

前作「北極」に続き、本展で瀬戸が挑むのは、もうひとつの極地——砂漠。

夜の乾燥地帯。冷えた砂の上に、確かに体温が感じられる。

時間と風に削られたような造形のなかに、静けさと躍動が共存します。

砂漠に生息するフェネックと、それを狙うジャッカルを主題とした新作約10点を展示。

無音の彫刻が、見る者の内側に「気配」として静かに立ち上がる本展にて、過酷な自然の中に潜む静かな息づかいをご体感ください。

Starting June 14, 2025 (Sat), GINZA TSUTAYA BOOKS will host “Dry Night,” a solo exhibition by sculptor Yuu Seto, in the space in front of Starbucks.

Following his previous theme, “The Arctic,” Seto now turns to another extreme landscape—the desert.

A dry nighttime terrain. Upon the chilled sand, the presence of body heat is subtly felt.

The sculptures evoke forms shaped by time and wind, where stillness conceals dynamic energy.

Centered on new works depicting a fennec fox and the jackal that stalks it, around 10 new terracotta pieces will be on view.

These silent sculptures quietly emerge as “presences” within the viewer, conveying the quiet breath of life hidden within the harsh natural environment.

Artist Profile｜瀬戸優（せとゆう）

1994年神奈川県小田原市生まれ。

自然科学への考察をもとに、主に野生動物をモチーフとしたテラコッタ彫刻を制作。

1/1スケールにこだわり、実物大で表現されるその作品は、触覚的な痕跡と造形によって生命の気配を伝える。

展示販売を中心に、国内外で幅広く作品を発表。

ファッションブランドとのコラボレーションや、ボードゲームのプロデュース、

2024年にはザ・リッツ・カールトン東京のオリジナル日本酒・ウイスキーのラベルデザインも手がけた。

2024年に株式会社subigを設立。野生動物の環境保護を目的としたプロダクトデザインを行っている。

Born in 1994 in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Seto creates and exhibits terracotta sculptures primarily based on wild animals, informed by his study of natural science.

He is committed to working in life-size (1:1 scale) to capture the air and atmosphere of real presence.

The terracotta medium directly reflects the artist’s tactile traces, resulting in works rich with movement and vitality.

He actively exhibits both in Japan and abroad, and his practice extends beyond exhibitions to collaborations with fashion brands, board game production, and, in 2024, label design for original sake and whisky for The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo.

In 2024, he established the company subig, which designs products to support wildlife conservation through ongoing donations.
