“Coronation: Between Light and Darkness” (detail)

In recent years, Yasuhisa Yamamoto has explored the theme of “abundance.”

Through human figures, animals, flowers, mountains, water, and other motifs, he depicts scenes of primordial times that may have been spiritually and physically abundant, questioning the “abundance” of material goods and information in the modern world.

Entitled “The cloister at the time,” this exhibition presents altarpiece-like paintings and small sculptures displayed on the walls, arranging the gallery to evoke the interior of an old temple.
