2026年7月30日（木）より、渋谷ヒカリエ ShinQs 5階「ShinQs Gallery 5」にて、グループ展 「Neo-Japonisme」 を開催いたします。
本展は、日本独自の美 意識が現代においてどのように受け継がれ、新たな表現として展開されているのかをご紹介する展覧会です。
19世紀後半、日本の美術や工芸はヨーロッパに大きな影響を与え、「ジャポニスム（Japonisme）」と呼ばれる文化現象を生み出しました。浮世絵や工芸品に見られる大胆な構図や繊細な装飾性、自然へのまなざしは、西洋美術に新たな価値観をもたらし、その影響は今日までさまざまな形で受け継がれています。
本展で掲げる 「Neo-Japonisme」 とは、過去の様式をなぞるものではなく、日本の美意識を現代の感性によって再解釈し、新たな表現として提示する試みです。
その源流にある日本の美意識を現代の視点から捉え直し、それぞれ異なる表現を展開する 泉東臣、大嶋直哉、丁子紅子、山﨑なつ子 の4名の作家をご紹介します。

SHIKISAISHA is pleased to present the group exhibition "Neo-Japonisme", on view at ShinQs Gallery 5, 5th Floor, Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs, from July 30 to August 12, 2026.
This exhibition explores how the unique aesthetic sensibilities of Japan continue to be inherited and reinterpreted through the practices of contemporary artists.
In the latter half of the nineteenth century, Japanese art and craft profoundly influenced Europe, giving rise to the cultural phenomenon known as Japonisme. The bold compositions of ukiyo-e prints, the refined decorative qualities of traditional crafts, and a distinctive appreciation of nature introduced new artistic perspectives to the West, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to resonate today.
Neo-Japonisme, as presented in this exhibition, is not an attempt to replicate historical styles. Rather, it proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of Japanese aesthetics, presenting them through the diverse perspectives and artistic practices of four contemporary artists:

泉東臣 Haruomi Izumi
1979年千葉県生まれ。2005年、東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科デザイン専攻修了。植物や風景を主なモチーフとし、自然の秩序や構造を抽出・再構成することで、日本的な美意識を現代的な視点から表現している。全国の主要百貨店や画廊で個展を開催するほか、2020年にはSeizan Gallery New Yorkで個展を開催。イタリア、イギリス、ニューヨークなど海外のアートフェアにも多数参加し、国内外で活動を展開している。
Haruomi Izumi (b. 1979, Chiba, Japan) received his M.A. in Design from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2005. Working primarily with plants and landscapes, he reinterprets natural forms through refined patterns and geometric structures, expressing a contemporary vision of Japanese aesthetics. Izumi has held numerous solo exhibitions across Japan, including a solo exhibition at Seizan Gallery New York in 2020, and has participated in international art fairs in Italy, the United Kingdom, New York, and elsewhere.
大嶋直哉 Naoya Oshima
大嶋直哉（1995年 岐阜県生まれ）は、2024年に東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科博士後期課程を修了し、博士号（美術）を取得。
写真や既存の視覚イメージを切断・再構成し、それを絵画として描くことで、実在と虚構の境界を探求している。
近年の「妖異図現状模写」シリーズでは、存在しない絵巻物や資料をあたかも実在するかのように描き、シミやシワ、経年劣化などの痕跡を加えることで、架空のイメージに独自のリアリティを生み出している。実在と虚像が交錯する現代において、「描くこと」によって生まれる新たな現実感の可能性を問い続けている。
Naoya Oshima (b. 1995, Gifu, Japan) completed his PhD in Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2024. Through a process of cutting, rearranging, and translating photographs and existing visual imagery into painting, he explores the shifting boundaries between reality and fiction. In his recent *Yōizu Genjō Mosha* series, Oshima creates paintings that appear to be reproductions of historical picture scrolls and documents that never actually existed, incorporating stains, creases, and signs of aging to lend fictional images a compelling sense of reality. At a time when the distinction between the real and the fabricated is increasingly blurred, his practice investigates new forms of reality that can emerge through the act of painting.
丁子紅子 Beniko Choji
1991年埼玉県大宮生まれ。
女子美術大学絵画学科日本画専攻卒業。現代童画会委員。
人物を主なモチーフに、人の内面に揺れる感情や記憶の気配を日本画によって描き出している。
全国の百貨店やギャラリーを中心に個展を開催するほか、書籍装幀や音楽アルバム ジャケット、舞台ビジュアル、ファッションブランドとのコラボレーションなど、分野を横断した活動も展開している。
Born in Omiya, Saitama Prefecture in 1991.
Graduated from the Department of Painting, Japanese Painting major, at Joshibi University of Art and Design. Member of the Contemporary Children’s Art Association.
Using the human figure as her primary motif, she depicts the subtle presence of emotions and memories that fluctuate within the human mind through Nihonga.
In addition to presenting solo exhibitions mainly at department stores and galleries across Japan, she has also developed a cross-disciplinary practice, including book cover design, music album artwork, stage visuals, and collaborations with fashion brands.
山﨑なつ子 Natsuko Yamazaki
東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油画専攻卒業。
言葉では捉えきれない感覚や記憶を主題に、
目に見えないものをかたちにする絵画を制作。
アルキド樹脂やグリッターを用いた半立体的な画面は、
光と素材の質感を際立たせ、見る角度や空間によって表情を変化させる。
その作品は、感情の気配や記憶の層を静かに浮かび上がらせる。
Natsuko Yamazaki
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts.
Her work explores intangible sensations and memories,
seeking to give form to what cannot be expressed in words.
Using alkyd resin and glitter,
she creates semi-relief surfaces that emphasize light and materiality,
shifting in appearance depending on the viewer’s perspective and environment.
Her works quietly evoke layers of emotion and memory.
