このたび、ShinQs Gallery 5（渋谷ヒカリエ ShinQs 5階）にて、グループ展「Flowers」を開催いたします。

本展は、「花」という普遍的なモチーフをテーマに、現代のアートシーンで活躍する作家たちによる多彩な表現をご紹介する展覧会です。日本画の様式美を現代的な感覚で再解釈した作品から、エネルギッシュなアクリル画、空間に緊張感をもたらす書や立体作品に至るまで、それぞれの感性によって新たな生命を宿した「花」の姿が展開されます。

花は古来より、祝福や希望、記憶、感情を象徴する存在として、人々の心に寄り添ってきました。本展では、作家ごとの視点や技法を通じて、その多義的な魅力を浮かび上がらせます。

春の訪れとともに、新たな始まりを迎えるこの季節に、作品との出会いが鑑賞者それぞれの記憶や感情と静かに響き合い、心に彩りを添えるひとときとなれば幸いです。

ShinQs Gallery 5 (Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs, 5F) is pleased to present the group exhibition “♡Flowers.” This exhibition brings together a selection of artists active in today’s contemporary art scene, all exploring the universal motif of “flowers” through diverse approaches. From works that reinterpret the refined aesthetics of traditional Japanese painting with a contemporary sensibility, to energetic acrylic paintings, as well as calligraphy and sculptural works that introduce a sense of tension into space, each piece embodies a renewed vitality shaped by the artist’s unique vision. Flowers have long served as symbols of celebration, hope, memory, and emotion, remaining a constant source of inspiration across cultures and time. In this exhibition, the multifaceted nature of this motif is revealed through the distinct perspectives and techniques of each artist. In harmony with the arrival of spring—a season of new beginnings—we hope that each encounter with these works will quietly resonate with the viewer’s own memories and emotions, offering a moment of reflection and a gentle sense of renewal.

吉川薫平 Kunpei Yoshikawa

1998年神奈川県生まれ。
東京藝術大学大学院修士課程修了。
日本画材を基盤に、インクやメディウムを併用する
ミクストメディアによる絵画作品を制作。
素材が織りなす「揺らぎ」や「濁り」を活かし、
旅や自然の中で触れた知覚の余韻を、固定されない色彩で表現する。
明確な輪郭に回収されない空気感や気配を内包した作品は、
観る者の感覚に深く静かに浸透する。

Born in Kanagawa, 1998. Completed the M.F.A. program at Tokyo University of the Arts. Creating mixed-media paintings that build upon traditional Japanese materials, incorporating ink and various mediums. Utilizing the "fluctuations" and "depth" of his materials, he translates the lingering sensory perceptions of nature and travel into fluid, evolving colors. His works, which encapsulate an ambiance and presence beyond defined outlines, deeply and quietly permeate the viewer's senses.

斉藤望 Nozomi Saito

1957年　北海道生まれ
岩手大学教育学部特設美術科卒業、主体美術協会会員
金箔の上にテンペラ・アクリル絵具を巧みに用い、写実的な植物たちを生き生きと描き出し、植物たちは金箔の輝きの中で新しい命を吹き込まれています。
木製パネルに施された石膏と金箔は、最初はキツイ印象を与えるかもしれません。
しかし、彼の緻密な技術によって描かれた植物たちは、画面全体に柔らかなイメージをもたらし、角のとれた丸みが作品を包み込みます。

Born in Hokkaido in 1957. Graduated from the Special Fine Arts Program, Faculty of Education, Iwate University. Member of the Shutaika Art Association. Using tempera and acrylic paint over gold leaf, the artist renders plants with striking realism, infusing them with a vivid sense of life. Within the radiance of gold leaf, these botanical forms appear newly animated. The gesso and gold leaf applied to wooden panels may initially give a strong impression. However, through the artist’s meticulous technique, the depicted plants bring a sense of softness to the entire composition, their rounded forms gently enveloping the pictorial space.

安岡亜蘭 Aran Yasuoka

1978年神奈川県生まれ。
東京藝術大学美術学部デザイン科卒業。

動物や植物と機械を組み合わせ、
「過去と未来」を主題に作品を制作する。

自然と人工、生命と機械といった対照的な要素を交差させ、
空想上の生命体を描き出す。

近年は江戸の千代紙に着想を得た和の要素を取り入れ、
独自の世界観を展開している。

Aran Yasuoka Born in Kanagawa, Japan in 1978. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts (Design). She creates works based on the theme of “past and future,” combining elements of nature and machinery. By intersecting contrasts such as organic and artificial, she depicts imaginary forms of life. Recently, she has incorporated motifs inspired by Edo-period chiyogami, developing a distinctive visual world.

ヤクモタロウ Taro Yakumo

1976年東京都生まれ。

現代社会を象徴するモチーフを取り入れ、ポップで鮮やかな絵画表現を展開。
実在のイメージを再構成し、リアルとフィクションのあいだに独自の視覚空間を生み出す。

Yakumo Taro Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1976. Yakumo incorporates motifs that reflect contemporary society, creating vivid and pop visual expressions. By reconstructing real-world imagery, his work generates a unique space between reality and fiction.

大嶋直哉 Naoya Oshima

1995年岐阜県生まれ。
東京藝術大学大学院博士後期課程修了。

既存の写真や物語、伝統的な表現など、
すでに存在するイメージを手がかりに絵画制作を行う。

それらを再構成し、引用や模写といった手法を通して、
本物と作り物のあいだを行き来するイメージを立ち上げる。

見ることや知ることの確かさを問い直し、
曖昧な像の中に新たなリアリティを提示する。

Naoya Oshima Born in Gifu in 1995. Completed his PhD at Tokyo University of the Arts. His practice engages with pre-existing images—such as photographs, narratives, and traditional forms— using them as a basis for painting. Through reconstruction, quotation, and acts of copying, his works move between what is real and what is fabricated. By questioning the certainty of seeing and knowing, he reveals alternative forms of reality within ambiguous images.
