現代において、AIが画像を生成し、視覚的なメディアが無限に生産される状況の中で、彼の作品は「見る」ことの意味を再考させる。作品を通じて、絵画が単なる視覚的対象ではなく、環境や鑑賞者との関係の中で有機的に成立するものとして機能し得るのかを探求している。

Reo Kikuchi creates works that reconstruct historical painting imagery, prompting us to reexamine the very act of “seeing.”

His interest lies not in exploring the techniques or materials of painting, but in the epistemological aspect—how we perceive and interact with images.

In today’s world, where AI generates images and visual media are produced infinitely, his work urges us to reconsider the meaning of seeing. Through his paintings, he explores whether art can function not merely as a visual object but as something that organically exists in relationship with its environment and the viewer.
